Identify the shop model and the stock that will fulfil it
Start the launch brief with the TikTok Shop account, registered selling model and actual dispatch location. This guide covers stock held in the UK and sent to UK customers. The UK shipping policy distinguishes that local-to-local model from eligible EU-to-UK selling. The September 2026 Seller Terms also describe a separate cross-border arrangement. Confirm the model assigned to your account before applying a domestic shipping workflow to goods still in China.
Record the shipping options actually available in Seller Center and the option selected for the launch. With Shipped via Platform, TikTok manages delivery while the seller stores, packs and labels the goods. Shipped by Seller uses an approved carrier chosen by the seller. Fulfilled by TikTok is a separate arrangement covering stock storage and order fulfilment. Write down which party will hold your launch stock and perform each task; using an external UK warehouse does not itself establish enrolment in any TikTok logistics programme.
Create a launch record for the TikTok order and warehouse
Map the TikTok product and SKU identifiers to the exact warehouse SKU and sale unit. Include variant, units per order, dispatch warehouse, available quantity and any stock reserved for other channels. Keep a product’s UK replenishment movement separate from the later TikTok customer parcel. If stock is still travelling to Edinburgh, record the expected receipt and required checks before treating it as ready for the launch.
For the dispatch sample, retain the TikTok order reference, line items, approved address, final package identifier, dimensions, gross weight, shipping type and carrier service. Add the applicable deadlines and delivery estimate from the current order and policy, with their starting event and calendar definition. Assign the person who reviews them and the person who handles an approaching exception. Keep buyer shipping charges, warehouse work and carrier charges as separate items when confirming the actual operating scope.
Check the actual carrier service and accepted tracking
For Shipped by Seller, TikTok’s UK approved-carrier guidance requires an approved integrated carrier and valid traceable tracking for dispatched orders. Its July 2026 list includes Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 and Special Delivery; it states that Royal Mail 1st/2nd Class is not considered traceable tracking. Confirm the service selectable in your account before booking. A Royal Mail brand name or a postage receipt alone does not establish that the chosen product supplies the tracking this workflow needs.
The seller-shipping guide describes uploading the shipping provider and Tracking ID against the order, individually or through the provided spreadsheet template. Use the current downloaded template and preserve its columns. Our recommended check compares the uploaded carrier and reference with the actual label, then records the platform’s acceptance or error. For rejected information, investigate the correct package and carrier pairing. For a reference that was accepted but has no events, investigate physical handover and carrier data separately before replacing anything.
Follow the platform-shipping parcel through its real handover
For Shipped via Platform orders, use the label generated for that order and confirm the handover arrangement shown for the warehouse. The UK shipping policy explains that label printing changes the order to To Ship–Awaiting Collection. It also describes Ready to Handover and the Handover Manifest under Manage Orders, Shipping Labels and Manage Manifests. Check how those stages appear in your shop and which packing-team action prepares the relevant batch for collection or drop-off.
Keep the parcel-to-manifest mapping, actual handover date, location and available receipt or collection evidence. The policy describes Shipped as the later status following the logistics provider’s scan. Compare that event with the physical record rather than treating label printing as carrier acceptance. If a collection fails or a scan does not appear, preserve the affected references and open the appropriate Seller Center issue ticket. Assign a contact who checks the manifest and carrier progress while the exception is being investigated.
Run a controlled sample across packing and status updates
Agree a permitted trial method with the account owner and fulfilment team before opening the full launch quantity. Include an ordinary single-item order, a variant, a multi-unit basket and a case with an address or stock question. Compare the order received by operations with Seller Center, the packed contents, label and selected shipping type. Where the trial includes a legitimate physical shipment, follow it through handover, the reported scan and the customer-facing tracking result. Compare the measured package format with the label’s service before handover; if they differ, hold the affected parcel and request a correction through the shop’s actual support process.
Rehearse cancellation, missing stock and rejected tracking through an approved test process or a documented scenario review. Record the starting status, intended action, person responsible and expected stock outcome. If an external connection is proposed, test one order’s receipt and tracking feedback with its implementation owner; confirm the actual fields and recovery method. A manual export or sample that succeeds does not establish a live TikTok integration. Keep any untested automated step visible in the rollout decision.
Give cancellations and shipping exceptions a named owner
TikTok’s UK cancellation policy separates orders before To Ship–Awaiting Collection from orders already at that stage or Shipped. The account owner should review the applicable request and response rules using the current order state and shipping type. In the warehouse, stop affected picking or release when instructed, locate any packed goods and record whether a parcel has already left. Restore stock only after the physical units and authorised allocation have been reconciled.
Prepare an exception pack containing order and parcel references, shipping type, relevant status timestamps, tracking acceptance result, handover evidence and the unresolved question. Assign the Seller Center response, carrier enquiry and customer update to specific people, with each current response requirement recorded. Before expanding, review passed samples and outstanding cases. For a Jeton Express UK-fulfilment discussion, bring the shop model, stock list, actual shipping arrangement and release instructions so the team can agree the warehouse work and exception contacts for your launch.
