Check the order deadline and report non-receipt promptly
If Vinted has marked the order delivered but you have not received your parcel, open the order immediately. Vinted’s tracking help says to select “I have an issue” within two days of the delivered status and follow the instructions. Check the deadline shown for your own transaction. Gathering evidence or contacting the carrier does not replace this time-sensitive platform step.
For an order still awaiting pickup, check the collection deadline and use the Help Centre for that order if the location cannot find the parcel. Public Facebook and archived Reddit questions describe unavailable parcels and conflicting collection statuses across different carriers. They prompted this guide; they do not establish what caused your situation or whether a refund will follow.
Match the parcel reference to the actual collection instruction
In the Vinted conversation, select Track parcel and open the linked carrier history. Compare the reference, collection address and latest event with the notification that sent you to the shop or locker. Save the exact wording and time of each message. Check that you are viewing this order, rather than another parcel’s collection code or an earlier notification.
Confirm the actual carrier and named location. A Royal Mail delivery office, Post Office branch and another operator’s shop have different collection instructions. If a required locker code is absent, record that specific problem and check the original carrier notification. Use the order’s support route for unresolved access rather than borrowing a code or procedure from another parcel.
- Vinted record: order reference, exact status and action deadline.
- Carrier record: parcel reference, full event history and named location.
- Recipient record: visit date, location and what staff or the locker actually showed.
Describe what happened at the location without guessing the cause
At a staffed collection point, show the notification and required collection information and ask staff to check the correct reference. Record whether they said the parcel had not arrived, could not be located, had been collected or was being returned. Our recommendation is to preserve that specific explanation rather than summarising every unsuccessful visit as a missing delivery.
At a locker, distinguish a code that is rejected, a compartment that will not open and a compartment containing the wrong parcel. Record the location, time and displayed message, then use the operator’s help route and the Vinted order support options. Do not treat another customer’s label as your proof of receipt or publish their address. If another parcel is present, ask the operator how to handle it.
Read ready-to-collect and collected as different events
A notification inviting collection does not show that you received the item. Equally, a collected or delivered event needs investigation when you did not collect the parcel. Compare the complete carrier history with the marketplace status and your visit record. If a message changed between visits, keep both dated observations so support can see the sequence rather than a single latest screenshot.
Royal Mail defines ready for collection as available for pickup and collected as picked up by the recipient. Its delivered wording can include delivery to an address arranged for collection, so check the full event rather than equating every delivery scan with possession. These definitions do not explain another operator’s locker messages. Report the discrepancy without assuming theft, an incorrect scan or a marketplace fault.
Give the buyer and seller separate, useful support tasks
The buyer can report non-receipt through their Vinted order and supply the visit details. The seller can confirm the dispatched label reference and available posting evidence through their own order support route. For Royal Mail history or location questions, use Royal Mail’s official help route with that reference. For another carrier, use the carrier identified in the order; preserve any enquiry reference.
Our suggested private evidence packet contains the order, carrier, parcel reference, collection instruction, dated status screenshots, visit notes and any support replies. State unavailable evidence plainly. If support requests a photo when no parcel was handed over, explain which evidence you can provide and ask how to document non-receipt within that case.
Keep the open case linked to any return or replacement
A short factual message might say: “The order shows collected, but I did not receive the parcel. I visited the named location on [date], where [specific result]. The carrier reference is [reference], and I have reported the issue in the order.” Use the actual status and supported facts. Keep new updates in the same case and check the next instructions rather than repeatedly starting an unrelated enquiry.
If a return or replacement is later agreed, record its reference separately and link it to the original order. For eligible orders handled by Jeton Express, request the agreed dispatch and handover records through the Vinted UK service enquiry. A fulfilment team can supply its own available handling evidence; it cannot alter a buyer’s collection event or decide the marketplace outcome. The immediate priority remains the buyer’s live order deadline and the correct support route.
